Pursuant to the authority of Iowa Code sections 307.12 and 307A.2, the Iowa Department of Transportation, on September 21, 2017, adopted an amendment to rescind Chapter 125, "General Requirements and Covenants for Highway and Bridge Construction," Iowa Administrative Code.

Chapter 125 includes information on the Department's "Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction" and supplemental specifications. The Department is rescinding Chapter 125 since this chapter is no longer needed. These publications are available in electronic format on the Department's Web site at www.iowadot.gov. Contact and other information concerning specifications is also available on the Department's Web site.

Notice of Intended Action for this amendment was published in the August 2, 2017, Iowa Administrative Bulletin as ARC 3219C. This amendment is identical to the one published under Notice of Intended Action.

These rules do not provide for waivers. Any person who believes that the person's circumstances meet the statutory criteria for a waiver may petition the Department for a waiver under 761—Chapter 11.

After analysis and review of this rule making, no impact on jobs has been found.

This amendment is intended to implement Iowa Code section 307.24.

This amendment will become effective November 15, 2017.

The following amendment is adopted.

Rescind and reserve 761—Chapter 125.
