Notice of Intended Action
Proposing rulemaking related to public records and fair information practices
and providing an opportunity for public comment
The Labor Services Division hereby proposes to rescind Chapter 85, “Public Records and Fair Information Practices of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Board,” Iowa Administrative Code.
Legal Authority for Rulemaking
This rulemaking is proposed under the authority provided in Iowa Code section 89.14.
State or Federal Law Implemented
This rulemaking implements, in whole or in part, Executive Order 10.
Purpose and Summary
This proposed rulemaking rescinds Chapter 85 in accordance with the goals and directives of Executive Order 10. Chapter 85 is proposed to be rescinded because public records and fair information practices of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Board will be in a different chapter applicable to programs in the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing, the new location of the board.

The Committee’s meetings are open to the public, and interested persons may be heard as provided in Iowa Code section 17A.8(6).
