Notice of Intended Action
Proposing rulemaking related to career and technical education
and providing an opportunity for public comment
The State Board of Education hereby proposes to amend Chapter 46, “Career and Technical Education,” Iowa Administrative Code.
Legal Authority for Rulemaking
This rulemaking is proposed under the authority provided in Iowa Code section 256.129(5).
State or Federal Law Implemented
This rulemaking implements, in whole or in part, Iowa Code section 256.136.
Purpose and Summary
This proposed rulemaking removes a superfluous reference to federal funds from the rule on regional planning partnerships (RPPs).RPP funds are state dollars, and any use of federal funds to support an RPP’s work would be solely governed by federal law.
